Hi everyone, I'm Beth & I have Dysautonomia. I have been wanting to start blogging for quite some time now. I've written blogs in the past on different subjects, but not about my Dysautonomia. My purpose here is simple, to raise awareness about it, connect with others, or to just ramble about what's going on in my life. First of all I think it's funny how my spell check options for it are : Autonomic, Autonomous, Autonomy & (here's the kicker) Dysfunctional !!!
I thought that today would be a good day to start, since I had an appt. this morning with a new neurologist. My 1st encounter with a neurologist was about 2 years ago, when I mentioned to my electrophysiologist that I was experiencing severe memory problems, which after testing with a neurologist, he told me I had had a stroke (a whole medical problem, or is it related?) . Anyway, I didn't care for the neurologist's office I was going to for several reasons, so basically I stopped going (I had already been diagnosed with Dysautonomia). I was extremely happy to hear at my last visit to my electrophysiologist that the office was adding 2 neurologists to their staff, so I immediately made an appt.
My plan today in starting this blog was to actually tell more about who I am, what Dysautonomia is, my symptoms & challenges that I face from it, but I am having "one of those days". If you happened to have stumbled across this blog and already have Dysautonomia, chances are you know what a brain fog is. I'm feeling that way right now after simply navigating my way to set up this blog. So, for now I'm going to stop before I get that grey out feeling or nausea, again if you have Dysautonomia, chances are you'll be able to relate to those terms as well. Right now I have no clue if I'm even making sense, I'm just typing.
I hope you all are having the best day possible today, I will try to write more later or tomorrow.
Beth
